What digital video card are you using? What driver version? Is the deck referencing Input Video or Ref? Did you try just putting SLUG where you have empty spots in your timeline?

That error is usually because the project is from a later ver of FCP than you’re running. 5.1.3 is compatible with 5.1.2 isn’t compatible with 5.1.1 and so on
But is sounds like this is a project that has lived on this one computer the whole time?

I lost RT going from .1 to .2 – I used to be able to read 10 bit uncompressed HD in an 8 bit timeline, and I used to have preview quality 3 way CC in 8 bit uncompressed HD with 5.1.1
can only imagine .3 is worse…. c’mon Apple. Ditch the old and busted, give us the new hotness!

What “event”? The rumors sights don’t say a thing… they’re usually buzzing if there’s anything going on.

DF/NDF has nothing to do with video rate. It’s 29.97 regardless. It’s just a convention of counting. Just capture with fat handles and you’ll be fine.
