It is common problem with Motion. Delete the preferences and restate the program, you should be fine. Preferences are situated in your home folder/library/preferences. Then locate preferences for .motion there are two of them. There is no need to paste a stash report that dies not help. G

Often you just need normal quality for your final render. takes much less than at the best quality. I bet you would not be able to see the difference.

split the views to two views top and camera. Then select the object and move it. That is all you need to do. Or you can enable Inset views under the views menu.

    Good luck

You can not achieve this with behaviors, however this is a simple animation that can be key-framed easily.

Go to the properties of your object and animate the position parameter of the object. Then in the key-frame editor you can change the interpolation of the animation.

    Good Luck

Use animation codec for your final animation. This will ensure your movie is rendered at the best possible quality.

Yes you can. There is a movie of a brush strike being painted in the content browser. Apply the image mask to your heart image then drop the movie to the image mask. Then go to properties of the mask and change from alpha to luminance.

Zaxwerks (ProAnimatorFX) can import .obj and it si a 3d plugin for apple motion and final cut. You can do quite a lot of things with it. However if you are looking for a complex animation than yu are best to use some sort of 3d program, bug learning curve.
