You woul not track this. You just need to create a mask that would be slightly bigger that the areas you want to cover, then you would animate the mask. This can be done every 5 to 10 frames depending on how much movement is in the shot than you would use a keyer to remove the rest of green screen. After that export your footage to FCP using apple pro Rez 4444 or animation codec with alpha.

    HI There,

I love what you did with Psunami. I was wondering if you can help me by pointing me to a website with a tutorial or maybe you can explain it to me how to composite my sky to a psunamy filter. I know that I can take the sun off, but when I place a image behind the see looks like it is very close and it does not work correctly. What would I need to do to achieve this please.
    Many thanks

    Hi all,

Travel mattes or static alpha mattes are one and the same. They both use black and white information to make things appear or to hide things. Just make a black and white movie that has objects movig in some sort of way that represents transition. Then render te movie and use it in FCP or any other program.

I think the problem is exporting it to mp4. Anyway see if this helps. https://fcproducer.com/2007/03/converting-final-cut-pro-movie-for-youtube/

Have you tried calling Apple and asking their customer support. Seems lime you have very good system. It should handle motion very well. Also have you tried upgrading final cut studio to the current version which you can do via software update.

What is x are you running.

Use clouds generator, animate parameters within generator (not sure from the top of my head whic parameter but there are only few so you will find it. You also need to apply directional blur to generator. I think horizontal blur not vertical, crank it really hard. You will get what you need.

You can also hack a Pc card to use on a Mac. I have seen few websites telling you how to do this. Check also you firmware as I recall some people can run better ATI card one that costs £300 on Mac 1.1 but it has to be the correct firmware. See the reviews.

It is my pleasure. Remember most of the techniques from after effects can be easily applied to apple motion.
