I assume you are saying that you can not see the images in motion. Please make sure that your image or PSD file if you have made the image in photoshop is RGB Colour Mode rather than CMYK.

Well it looks like few people have a problem. Anyway try sending a email to people who are developing Hex color picker, see what they have to say

it could be may things. Tyr copying your layers and groups into another motion document. then render it to see if the problem occurs. also trash your motion preferences before you render the project again.

This would be very difficult to say, what exactly is wrong. Surely you are getting some technical support from the people you both the template.

I would trash the preferences of motion if you are getting crashes. Further more I would solo the layers or the groups you are trying to change, this will free some processing and memory.

First try to delete the preferences of motion which is in the library/preferences. Then try to open motion and go to preferences I think edit menu then at the bottom select preferences. Then look to find optical flow cach and purge or delete the cash of optical flow. Let me know did it work.

I am using Motion 4 and 10.5.8, no problems here. Are you using a little magnifying glass icons when you open the Apple Colour picker to pick up the colour.
Honestly I do not know why would not work. Read what they say on their website about compatibility issues.

Watch this tutorial I made about colour in Apple Motion. get yourself a program called Hex Colour Picker for OS X (Software which will enable you to use Hex Colour Codes in Apple Colour Picker.
