I think selecting it one by one is the only way.

    Hi There,

Paint stroke create new layer every time you complete one stroke, you will not be able to do what you want have gaps in the stroke (you can ad masks to your completed stroke layer on in the places you want to have a gap). It is just the way it works. You can also use paths not paint stroke tool to draw your shape and then you can convert them to paint stroke by pressing enter key. Make sure you have only stroke enabled not the fill.

That would depend on what standard are you working in. There is standard pal or NTSC or you can use HD presets.
Frame rate will be dependend on a standard you use. If you create new document in motion it gives you all you need in turms of frame rate, standards and size.

I would do a test of both cidecses to see what looks best. I love 4444 as it is amazing, however in my experience I know that animation codec produces best results, however it also produces bigger files. Being that you will recompress the file it is in my oppinion that animation codec is the best.

You should use Animation codec. This is uncompressed codec delivering best results. Then convert copies of the rendered movie to MP4, and .FLV, from within quicktime pro.

    Happy holidays

Have you tried installing the FCS to a new user on your mac, maybe there is something wrong in your user account yu are using. Create a fresh account and try installing it again. Also you can try to delete all FCS associated files then try to install it again.

    see this app: https://www.digitalrebellion.com/fcs_remover.htm

    or see this: https://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=3148496&#3148496

December 17, 2010 at 1:09 pm in reply to: Precise Camera Moves

    HI There,

For what you wan to do, you can not use Letter F, while camera is selected. This only frames the object, this would depend which object in your canvas is selected. However what you want to use if Framing camera behavior. Which is under behaviours/camera/framing….

Please note I find that framing camera behavior works best when you also have a null object, as with the null object you will be able to position camera whenever you want it to be.

Also you can use walk camera tool to animate your camera.

    I hope this helps.

Have you tried deleting all the preferences of motion. If this does not work, fix you permissions on you Mac and see if this resolves the problem. Usually reinstalling the program resOlves this issues. If all fails try creating new user on your computer than try log on and try to start motion from that user. If all fails again that is is a issue with your system not FCP.

Use animation codec for alpha. I have noticed that pro res have issues with alpha channel.

December 17, 2010 at 9:46 am in reply to: Slowing Down Motion Project

What you want to do is not possible. You should have rendered often a ram previews of what are you working on by using Command +R. That should have helped you to see how fast the animation is.
Or maybe try rendering your your project at 50frames per second and than use time remapping to slow it down. Slowing your footage from 25fps or 29fps will cause quality problems.

    I hope this helps.
