First of all. Have you deleted your motion preferences, if not do that as it seems to fix quite a lot of issues in Motion. `go to preferences and locate motion preferences and delete please. Second question about your file layered psd. is it RGB or CMYK. Must be RGB also look at the bit depth some people work on 16 which is not correct, must be 8 bit.
Give this a go an let me know.

There are few issues with Motion that is for sure. It is buggy and not very stable, I hope Apple continues to work on improving the stability of the app. maybe in the next version of Apple Motion. However, here is a link to a free filter that I use often to produce drop shadows.

Yes. Illustrator files are flattened in apple motion. It is bad and I hope apple gets this fixed by new version of motion. Workaround is to bring In separet illustrator files of what you need.

You have to select all of your layers and groups and resize them accordingly to your new layout. There are no oter way. I hope this helps

This is difficult to do with Motion tools alone. You will need a plugin Boris Continuum 7, Zaxwerks or 3d App such as Cinema 4d to accomplish this effect.

You can also use Boris continuum 7 this Willa low you to stride text in 3d. There are few free 3d programs around.

Copy all from corrupted document to a new one.

Another thing you need to know is that you have a version of that document you are working on in home folder/documents/Motion Documents.
Now Motion saves periodically all the files you are working on. So, the idea is to find the version that works, this would also mean that you have to redo some of the stuff that is missing from the final version.

Well it is always a good starting point whenever you have a problem with motion. have you tried rendering or working on any other file that you have. Try doing this please. If you continue to have a problem then open the project that is problematic then select all the groups layers etc from that project, create a new project (file/new) than paste from the problematic one to new project. Ten save it, see if this fixes the issue. If not let me know….
