Yeah that sounds like a plan, i’ll give it a shot.
Thanks -
While on the topic, can anyone simply explain how to use the alpha and spill bias’ in AE 7, I had it down when it was sliders, but now that they have changed to colour selectors I am lost.
I am keying a netball player (it is a female sport similar to basketball for those of you not from my corner of the earth) anyhow there is a girl wearing a singlet which is kind of redish purple and the damn thing is shot against bluescreen (grrr directors, they had a green screen on location too [/rant]). It is shot well on digibeta and lit well, but I just can’t get rid of the noise on her singlet as there is too much blue in the colour. I can’t even get a clean matte, anyone know of anything that I can try?

Hi I have been on the foundry forum and someone else had brought it to their attention as well and it was the first that they had heard of it. Yeah i had mixed success with purging as well.

Post that link into your browser, someone else has tried an alternative version of the plugin with success, i haven’t had a chance to try it yet, but it apparently worked for the other person. The link to the plugin is in a post in there.
Let me know how you get on if you try it.

In the motion tracking controls did you have “adapt feature on every frame” checked? That might help some and play with the other settings. I have just been doing some motion tracking that sounds similar to what you are trying to do and it is a pain!!!! Trial and error seems to be the only method suitable. Ask someone who doesnt know that you have done it to look at it as well as sometimes it is only visible to you because you did it and know what to look for, it might not be too bad.

I have automatic duck and use it on a daily basis! I think it is well worth it. Although I use
Avid and AE, it works well from avid to AE! -
It sounds like your keyframe interpolation is bezier. To find out right click on the keyframe and go to ‘Keyframe Interpolation’, the setting you want is linear.
Alternatly you could use a ‘Hold keyframe’ which is found in the same menu.Hope that helps

And remember to roto it by doing keyframes at each end first then keep dividing in half, that way you dont always have to use so many keyframes/time, and AE can do some of the work for you.
