  • Automatic Duck – is it worth buying ?

I use FCP and AE on a daily basis, and I’m considering getting Automatic Duck.
I just want to know – is it worth the price tag ?

i know this may sound cheesy but i’m a lo-fi indie filmaker, so I have to consider
    every expanse i make.

    cheers

Well, the Duck certainly does what it promises. It rebuilds your FCP timeline pretty accurately in AE. If you find yourself doing this manually enough that it is diminishing returns, then I would get the Duck.

It works extremely quick and easy with very little hassle if any. The first time I used it, I was so impressed I went to the Duck Cow and posted how brilliant it was (2 years ago).

…actually I found the thread, lol:

I have automatic duck and use it on a daily basis! I think it is well worth it. Although I use
Avid and AE, it works well from avid to AE!

We’ve used it quite a bit, too. I’d recommend it if you can swing it.
