July 7, 2005 at 3:58 am in reply to: Tracking video to a Picture frame – Should I corner Pin ?Hi dave, how do you transfer the motion tracking data to the file that you want to be inside the frame(in this case)? I know how to use the tracker but not how to then apply the data to what i want to be tracking? I was trying to do this the other day.
Cheers, Hayden

Window>Effects & Presets>Animation Presets>Text
You just drag them onto the layer in the timeline or the composition, easy!

If you watch those vids you will see that the change outs were how they did the modeling. It shows the removal of the original background, then the wireframe model used to replace it, then the texturing then the final render in the shots where guy is skateboarding and where someone throws something at them off the wharf. I think they use a mixture of rotoscoping/painting and 3D compositing to do this.

You could use lights to do this, by making the footage a 3d layer and then keyframing a light to follow them.
I would probably do it a different way though to get greater control of the image.
I would have two layers the top one would be the light layer the bottom one the dark layer (achieve these with what ever effect you like)
On the top layer make a circular mask and feather it however you like, then keyframe it to follow the player.
Use multiple masks for different players if need be.
Hope that makes sense.Hayden

Mask>Feather
I think that this is what you are looking for?
If not try changing the blending modes.Hayden

Hi
I work for a post company in New Zealand and I am charged out at $150NZD per hour for AE stuff. I think that this equates to roughly $100USD per hour, but if I was doing private work like this at a semi professional level I would probably charge between $300-500USD a day depending on what was involved.
This probably doesn’t help since I am more than likely on the other side of the world 😉 But hey.

There is a tutorial here:
https://www.ayatoweb.com/ae_tips_e/ae50_e.htmlWhich uses photo mosaic software and it gives links to the appropriate places depending on if you are a mac or pc user
Hope this helps
