don’t know if these problem happen to any other AE user, its happen to me a lot with key frame.

I’m animating in AE 3d envoriment with a still 3d camera, other objects are 3d and link to a 3d parent and usually I just animate the parent instead of the camera and some how I can’t get the animation to freeze in the timeline for sec and resume the animation afterward.

For example I put a 1st keyframe at 1st sec and have object to pan and zoom and set other 2nd keyframe at 4th sec and I want it to stop for a sec so in the 3rd sec I put the keyframe which is same as the 2nd keyframe and in the 5th sec I put another keyframe to have it keep to move and zoom

instead of that it does zoom, move back, stop and keep zooming, those weird movement a driving me crazy, I try toggle frame instead of normal keyframe it dosn’t work and I’ve try linear keyframe setting but still does the same thing.

    please help

    Cheers

It sounds like your keyframe interpolation is bezier. To find out right click on the keyframe and go to ‘Keyframe Interpolation’, the setting you want is linear.
Alternatly you could use a ‘Hold keyframe’ which is found in the same menu.

    Hope that helps
