Bump, anyone? Am I the only one tried this?

Thanks Dave but I tried this on 2 different systems 2 different versions of FCP. The last one failing was a fresh FULL install of everything!! OSX FCP QT the whole thing. Waisted better part of the day with the process. The only way I can do this to use the SDK 23 package to capture m2t files and than convert them to QT with Streamclip. This way I got continuous video but no TC. The supposed breaks happen in FCP randomly in a middle of a sentence so I can not use that. The fact is that this problem EXIST and no one from Apple cares even to address the issue. In FCP or any other FCP related forums searching “Time code breaks” brings up pages and pages of posts. NOT ONE OF THEM HAVE A COMPREHENSIVE SOLUTION ANYWHERE. There are workarounds like I found and the thread dies and nobody cares. So if you need continuous footage from HDV use FREE STUFF THAT WORKS BETTER THAN FCP!!
Psychotic rant over!

I’d like some info as well… I’d need two or more hub working together. What happens with the RS422 control? Can you run 2 controller utility?

Well.. If your target is PAL than it has to look good in PAL. Actually the Phase adj. on NTSC Monitors is part of The “NTSC problem” Your Monitor have to be set up such way that you do not need ANY adjustment on it. I mean everything is in preset. As CRT Monitors get older the “green thing” comes about and you need to calibrate it with some test gear. You really can not do Color Correction without having a known good sort of reference Monitor.

May 23, 2006 at 11:35 am in reply to: Audio Distortion on Edit to tape – Decklink HD ProJoe is right that could cause the audio error. If the Ref switch don’t fix it check Setup item 309 in the Deck setup and see if it set to “AUTO 1” If not change it to it and save. Some other settings could disable the Ref. Switch on the front panel.

CC is encoded on line 21. This would be the first active line of the video. On all the players Dbeta BetaSP Video setups line 21 have to be enabled. There are system settings for the line blankig item in the Video setups on most players. With DVcam CCline1 and CCline2 (DSR-80) have to be enabled.
