Audio Distortion on Edit to tape – Decklink HD Pro
Hi,
I’m using a Sony A500 to online, when I layback to tape I get terrible audio distortion, picture is fine but my audio is very tinny and although in sync absolutely useless, I’m outputting to tape via SDI, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve had this happen when the deck is not in input reference. Setting it to Input video ref instead of EXT may help.

Joe is right that could cause the audio error. If the Ref switch don’t fix it check Setup item 309 in the Deck setup and see if it set to “AUTO 1” If not change it to it and save. Some other settings could disable the Ref. Switch on the front panel.
