You would be showing this in public in a restaurant so the same rules of copyright in a public place apply. Just like they have to purchase the “business licenses” of something like DirecTV to show sports and tv in a restaurant.
If the show is not in public domain you will have to find the license holder and get appropriate permission.

I’m sure most here are waiting for the new Mac Pro, and I get that, but I need to make a move now. “Not really. We’re still running the same configuration and I’m about to add three more iMacs actually. Meeting with my VAR tomorrow to go over the plans for the new machines and some other upgrades. We will probably be adding a new 16 Core PC with 2-3 nVidia cards for the beefy render machine and completely ditch all but two of our Mac Pros. I’ll just keep those around for FCP 7 whenever we need that.

What Shane said. The IoXT is essentially a Kona 3 or 3G in a thunderbolt box. We’re using two of them at our shop that replaced Kona 3 cards. So they’re already at “high end.”

[Ann Baldwin] “Does this mean that, if I decide to subscribe to CC and create new projects there, if I then decide to cancel my CC subscription, I will no longer have access to the new projects in my current copy of CS6? If this is the case, then I’d be locked into CC for life!
“1 – You can create XML files from your projects to open in older Premiere Pro versions or even in other NLE apps.
2 – CC is available by the month as well so if you cancel CC, then need access to your files at some point down the road, you can activate your subscription for one month, do what you need to do to either modify or export your files and then cancel again.

A quicktime or other movie file. You export each spot as a self contained file and then lay them all into a timeline back to back.

There’s no such thing as an AJA or BMD sequence any longer with CC. Adobe is now handling the Transmit Engine.
Ensure you have the latest BMD Drivers and plug-ins that were just released for CC. Be sure to uninstall the old ones first.

With Premiere Pro CC you should now be able to monitor all audio through your 3G via the System Prefs > Sound > Output on the Mac.

At NAB Adobe basically said they were done with Encore. It’s as far as they need it to be. I’m sure they’ll update the app to ensure it’s compatible with newer OS’s if they can. Otherwise you might have to keep an older OS partition around to run it.
I can’t even remember the last BluRay I ran and am about to run 200 DVDs for the first time all this year. Definitely a dying market and I can understand why Adobe is not putting much more effort into updating Encore.
