I gave you the link in earlier post which is somewhat similar to this.
Though some manipulation in parameters is needed. I am quite busy these days. When I will get time I will try to create the same look and will upload the project file for you. Till then you can search on web on how to create smoky feel with plexus.

I used the script that you have mentioned above. It helped me to copy the position keyframes to a single vertex.
Is there way to permanently attach a Null to a single vertex so that if I will move the Null, the vertex will move too?

Once I’ve choosen milimeter that works, but next time it’s back to px again.
I have checked on CS6 and CS3 version that If I change it to MM once, it will remain in that only for the next time.
On which version you are working? Try installing the updates.

Can’t say much about the Expressions but you can create the same effect using Offset Effect.

AFAIK , Don’t thing there is any other way to do so other than Rotoscopy.
