I am trying to find the most efficient settings to export reference videos from After Effects.
If your going for .H264 then never render from AE directly.
Rendering h.264 codec from After Effects is not recommended as h.264 uses temporal compression.
Go for Adobe Media Encoder to render .H264.

It seems that your Application window is not centered. It is Right Aligned. Maximize the window and will work correctly.

There is also a few other things I should fix, is there no way to render Half Resolution with Knoll Light Factory EZ?
Rendering at Half Resolution will not give you good results.
Otherwise I am up for a very lengthy render time.
The reason is you are using CC Vector Blur.
You can try using other Blur Effects like Directional Blur to reduce the render time.

After looking into this further i have found that it is the Plexus plugin.
At first I had the same though about it but the last dissolving effect changed my perception. Don’t know whether it is possible to get the smoky effect from plexus.
