Try to google and download winDV (Small DV capture application) to see if the problem lies within premiere, but it looks like from what you described that XP doesn’t actually even see the device. Did you say that you tried 2 different camaras ?

Then, it’s either your Firewire card (I am assuming you have a card) or its driver. It might be worth buying a cheap (returnable) $10.00 card to see if that’s the problem. If it is indeed a card, you may also want to try changing it to a new slot to kind of reset things.

Finaly, it just could be a corrupted driver. You could try unintalling the driver through device manager and let xp reinstall it at start up.

Just for details sake, is the camera the only thing plugged in the port ?

Is this a Firewire card or on integrated port ?

    Cheers,

Did you put them in a prefixed folder as well ?

Best is to open one of Encore’s template PSD files in photoshop and check the structure.

Make sure you set the setting to “comp Camera” in the plugin itself. Or just use the plugin’s camera features.

You will need a demuxer. Try this one https://www.shareup.com/DVD_Demuxer-download-34336.html

There are others that may work better for your particular project.

Hope I’m not breaking the rules, but since this thread is going off topic anyway 😉

C4dCafe has tons of tutorials for starters, and advanced users as well.

Yeah, I wonder if Apple just forgot they actually own Safari… An update at least every 3 years would be nice.

You can download it there. ftp://ftp.maxon.net/pub/r9/updates/cinema4dae65.zip

    That should solve your problem.

I don’t think that there is a setting for comp sorting. I usually just rename my comps with a number in front so that they stay in that numerical order.

That works pretty well for me, but indeed that would be a nice option.

Here’s an easy fix, go download the windv (https://windv.mourek.cz/) (Free)

It can even split files or separate audio/Video, or export to tape.

It uses a large memory buffer for capture, that should take care of your frame dropping isues.

    Cheers,
