I saw a video once on Fly trainning:) (China I think)
I think that if you want “descent” results you’ll have to go 3D.
But, you could start with motion Sketch and the smoother.

You can’t even convert to MPEG-2 direct from AVID.
You can’t make an uncompressed AVI bigger than two (2) Gigs
————-Not sure where you got that. You can encode mpg2, and unless you are working on a FAT32 drive, you should be able to export to any file size.
Premiere does have issues with large projects, and I sometimes run into issues when I use too many High rez images.
I like premiere 2 for its DVD integration as mentioned, and heck I like the interface too…

I have the previous version of Total Training, which a resource hog as well. And yes if you run it AE on the same CPU you might run into problems.
Time for tht new G5 🙂

Well, first, if you are worried about quality, don’t export to DV !!!
You might save some time whith chapter points, but Re-compressing to DV, and then to Mpg 2 is … well asking fo bad quality.
I would either use Premiere media exporter to Mpg2, or export uncompressed if you have to Drive space, and let Encore do the compreesion.
Now the choppy playback may also be due to a mix up and upper and lower field settings, try both if not sure about the original.

My friend I feel for ya, that’s one hell of extra work.
I can tell you that, from working with Premiere 2 for a while now, disable “Autosave”.
I also am now saving to a different incremental filename every half hour or so.
I know that might seem like a pain, but that will save you a huge amount of time when something gets corrupted on a large project.
Well at least no more than a half hour of work 😉
A finally, don’t run any other Adobe apps in the background unless you really have to, and close it when you are done.
That’s all the advice I can give you.

Well, if you are looking for the 3D text look, you will probably need a 3D application, although I’m sure it could be achieved with the “Shatter” effect, using extrusion settings.
More likely though you will need 3D invigorator, or any 3D application (“Blender” is free).
For the glowing trail, you can use CC radial fast blur, or the Trapcode Shine plugin.
Just basing this on my recollection of the superman opening… been a while 😉

Just to confirm, you are not using a codec right ? just uncompressed ?
What player are you using to playback the video ?
Anyway to post a still of your video somwhere to take a look at ?

Make sure that you don’t have extra (unused) footage in your project.
Also check for italic filenames (missing footage)
Other than that you might have to start deleting project items until you isolate the problem.
Do a search for “Internal error” on this forum and at the Adobe site Forums, there were a few threads in the past regarding possible workarounds.
Is this 1.5 or 2.0 ?

Make sure you choose uncompressed AVI export. Also, when you say render, do you mean export to a file or rendered inside premiere (preview). Premiere renders previews to DV which isn’t good at all for animation footage.
