Choppy Final Video
I’m working on a corperate video with lots of mini pieces to it. So I’m using a lot of nested sequences. 14 of them so far.
When I rendered the video last night as a Microsoft DV AVI (To maintain the chapter markers), and printed to DVD, the final copy looked very choppy and ghosty – As if the whole piece was shot with a very slow shutter speed. To boot, When I imported the finished movie into Adobe Encore 1.5, all my chapter markers got shifted a staggering amount, making their location pointless. What’s going on!?!?
My computer is still new, I’m running 3GB of RAM with duel processor.
Why did this happen? How can I stop it? Thanks!! -

Well, first, if you are worried about quality, don’t export to DV !!!
You might save some time whith chapter points, but Re-compressing to DV, and then to Mpg 2 is … well asking fo bad quality.
I would either use Premiere media exporter to Mpg2, or export uncompressed if you have to Drive space, and let Encore do the compreesion.
Now the choppy playback may also be due to a mix up and upper and lower field settings, try both if not sure about the original.
