Rip DVD to mpeg2
Hi,
We’re a public access TV station that is using a software for scheduling programmes to broadcast. The software is reading mpeg2 files and we get most of the programmes on DVD’s
What’s the best way to make mpeg2 files from the DVD discs? Renaming the .vob files to .mpg sometimes work, sometimes we get no sound but only video. Do we really need to buy a DVD ripping software, although we don’t need to rip to avi, but only mpeg2?

You will need a demuxer. Try this one https://www.shareup.com/DVD_Demuxer-download-34336.html
There are others that may work better for your particular project.
