Dave is right- also, why export from AE with alpha? AE is a compositing program and you should do the compositing in there where you have a lot more control and then export the final piece without need for alpha.

Use expressions to link the keyframes you got from the audio to the warp.

I don’t think that there’s a way around that- since you do not have RAW footage (like from a RED camera) there’s no way for AE to see that as RAW and open it as such. Opening the footage in PSD and exporting TIFF sequences tricks AE and gives you the ability to improve the footage.

How about just copy the keyframes from the stabilized layer (position and rotation) and paste them to the keyed layer- or just apply the stabilization data to that layer in the first place.

If I understand correctly, all you need to do is precomp the solid, leave all attributes, and open that new composition to put your title in. Don’t forget to turn off the solid layer. That should do it.

Glad it worked- just be careful, adjustment layers are 2d layers, and mixing up 2d and 3d layers does not make AE very happy.

I think that your problem may come from the compression of your initial footage
Dave LaRonde has some great advice for this:
“Dave’s Stock Answer #1:If the footage you imported into AE is any kind of the following — footage in an HDV acquisition codec, MPEG1, MPEG2, AVCHD, mp4, mts, m2t, H.261 or H.264 — you need to convert it to a different codec.
These kinds of footage use temporal, or interframe compression. They have keyframes at regular intervals, containing complete frame information. However, the frames in between do NOT have complete information. Interframe codecs toss out duplicated information.
In order to maintain peak rendering efficiency, AE needs complete information for each and every frame. But because these kinds of footage contain only partial information, AE freaks out, resulting in a wide variety of problems. ”

H.264 or BluRay mpeg for final viewing- check out the presets in Adobe Media Encoder. But those will not be “lossless” (in the sense that there will be compression) just very good image quality for viewing.

Try rendering out tiff or tga sequences and then pull the key.
If that does not work, it may be that you need to play with the edges of your matte.Tudor “Ted” Jelescu
