March 9, 2016 at 2:12 pm in reply to: Hologram effect? (radial blur that pulls toward center)You can use CC Light Burst generated by a duplicate layer of your hologram image layer – play with the source location, intensity and ray length to get the projected hologram look. You would need to position that duplicate layer as a 3d layer in 3d space to match the angle and position of the projector source, precomp over a black layer that has comp size, and choose a Transfer mode for the precomp that best matches your needs (or use the free Red Giant Unmult). You will then comp your hologram image on top of the rays generated by CC Light Burst.

March 9, 2016 at 1:50 pm in reply to: Enlarge composition with particular layers is not possible?I may be mistaken, but even if you copy the Particular settings, create a new layer the size of your enlarged comp and apply the settings to it you may still have to play around with the position of the generator and size of particles.

I know there is a script (aescripts.com) that can enable AE touse excel data:
https://aescripts.com/compsfromspreadsheet/
AND
a XML to EXCEL conversion tool (there are other options as well)
https://www.altova.com/download-excel-mapper.html?gclid=CMb0v66Pp8sCFcUucgodOioK2QMaybe you can make use of these combined?

March 4, 2016 at 1:14 pm in reply to: How to move puppet mesh (starch tool) because precomp gets distortedPuppet tool works on raster data not vector, therefore the issue you run into when you try to switch on the continuously rasterize switch. The workaround is to have each character animated as large as possible.

March 4, 2016 at 1:06 pm in reply to: Scaling multiple layers and keeping the alignment without a null layerIf it’s just the scale of your objects and not the position, then you need to parent the scale of each to the scale of the Null and animate the thickness of the Beam in the plugin.
If you want to scale as a whole, then precompose and scale the layer.
Other than that it all goes out of wack as soon as you start linking the second objectTudor “Ted” Jelescu

First – it’s a combination of various pieces coming from different sources, so the techniques used are diverse.

Second, the look – any 2.5 D animated or 3D animated piece, or any video piece, can be stylized using Toonit/RedGiant. There are presets that can be tweaked that give you that Frank Miller comic book look.Tudor “Ted” Jelescu

February 29, 2016 at 12:31 pm in reply to: How can this sort of a blur effect be achieved?Duplicate the layer, pull a key using Luma to get the highlights, animate a vertical directional blur and add glow. Play around with transfer modes – work at 16 or 32 bit.

You can try an masked, animated radial blur with a large radius

Old friend Google came up with this (a bit more complex than my suggestion but this gives you the option to sync to bass):

2.5 D animation – Like Michael said, you have to plan out your “journey”, collect the right photographic elements and maybe some chroma/roto video elements, build the space in 3d space in AE and then move the camera through. It may be that not all has to be one move, but smart transitions can hide separate pieces of animation (ex- a large element like a wall fills the screen for one frame and as it moves to the side continuing the move it reveals another piece of animation.
