[Jim Tierney] “The Windows plugins we wrote in 1999 still work with Windows.”

and the stone wheel I chiseled from a slab of granite still rolls. LOL. Come on guys. Also the sandbox comment applies as much to Adobe and Microsoft as it does Apple.

AE 7 works fine on my 2.66 Ghz Intel mac and it is FASTER that it was on the Mirror Door G4. It will even be faster once Adobe gets around to making their apps, run native.

I’m sure Apple isn’t making change to be a pain the developers. Change maybe a pain, but I prefer development instead of contentment.

Save the Motion project. Quit motion. Change the name of the Motion project file (I would make a copy and change that one) from .motn to .mov, then import into AE.

October 17, 2006 at 1:15 pm in reply to: What deck are compatiable with HDV cameras

So, are you saying use the HV10 as a deck?
Does it support the full range of formats and timecode from the other cameras?

I was hoping for something like the Sony decks that playback HDV as well as DVCam and MiniDV.
In fact I hoping that the Canon tapes would playback in the Sony decks.

I know that the manufactures are running off in separate directions with HDV. I sometimes think the manufacturing groups that are supposedly setting up guidelines to improve new products are just saying we’ll play nice but we’re not playing with you; the consumer is still left with VHS/Betamax.

Use a copy of your keyed person (a precomp) as a matte for the Mist layer to constrain the mist to the Ghost’s body.

    Check you comp settings.
Drag cliip on the make comp icon at bottom of project and see if you have the same problem.

  • Speed Gains are relative to were your starting from.

    Old computer G4 dual 1.25 Ghz AE 7 ok’ish.

MacPro 2.66 Ghz and X1900T Video card AE 7 Better.

MacPro 2.66 Ghz X1900T Video card Motion Much Better.

XP via Bootcamp? God Why. (McDonalds drive thru in a Jaguar- again God Why)
