Have you seen the controls in DVMattePro? You can spend a day and a half in there.

Open a sequence. If no sequence is open there will be no timeline window. Double click on a sequence in the browser.

Then I’d just do it roughly in the FCP chroma keyer, because you’re going to have to redo it in the uprez.

Make sure you’re saving the PSD as RGB and 8-bit per channel, not 16-bit.

It’ still pretty flakey. I was doing it on a project yesterday. It showed the wrong media values and the values wouldn’t go down. It was so weird. I had a 19 minute sequence and it kept giving me a total amount of 5.7G. I kept cutting stuff out of the sequence and it just wouldn’t go down. The original media duration and the reduced amount would never change.

You have to drag them. You can’t F0 multiple clips, and you can’t F10 from the browser, only from the viewer.

If you need MPEG-2 you’re not going to have a choice except a third party encoder.

Does Compressor launch by itself? Can you export a QuickTime Movie and bring that into Compressor?
