PSD to sequence in 05
Has anyone imported a layered photoshop file into FCP and maintained the layers? I am importing LAYERED PSD files and they import flattened. They import like a JPG with the icon that has an “ABC” in it and not a sequence looking icon. I have been told to just import it and it imports as a sequence. Not so. I have tried both MAC and PC, PSD & PNG files all the same results, no layered sequence.

Make sure you’re saving the PSD as RGB and 8-bit per channel, not 16-bit.

Also, if the .psd originated on a Windows PC, you’ll have to open it in the Mac version of Photoshop & re-save them. Do “Save As”, & just overwrite the original file.

I seem to recall being able to open my PC PS files without doing this step.
