My apologies. I understand now. I thought he was talking about a different problem with scaled images, but now I see what you’re talking about. You really only see the interlacing when the image is set to 100%.

I thought he said there was no scaling applied.

That’s very strange. I can’t make mine do that. I’m in FCP5.0.2 BTW.

I see what you mean. It’s missing from the column selection popup. I guess you sent in feedback on it. Probably just a silly oversight. I wonder if it was gone from earlier versions.

I can’t reproduce this. Could it be a language version thing? If I select a clip and go to logging info (I use Cmd-Shift-L),I tab once and Description is active and type in gaga. Then do a browser search for gaga Find All locates the one shot. Is this not happening for you?

Is this a clip that has an alpha channel already? You don’t mean the alpha created by the garbage matte, do you? Because I don’t see that happening. If the clip or image has an alpha already, what kind of image is it?

“f you wanted to change the relationship between your background and your key, you’d have to start from scratch, kinda like doing a tape edit 15 years ago.”

I don’t understand that. All you have to do is change the alpha type for the clip. It takes like five seconds in FCP. I don’t understand the tape reference at all.

It’s a still that’s been scaled in FCP right? It has to be rendered for output. Force it to render.

Just to add I’m not saying DVMatte Pro isn’t an excellent product, and that you can’t make a great key with it. Just offering, another possibility.

Render it. This is a display bug.
