Sure. You can use the Share function and export to QuickTime. It’s the standard QT export module with all available QT functionality including third party encoders.

It’s an FCP issue. It worked in earlier versions. It’s broken in 5. I don’t know about 5.1.

What version are you using? This did not work in v5. I’m not sure if it’s working again in 5.1.

Cut all the audio tracks into the Timeline one under the other. Cut the multiclip onto the video track. Set the Viewer to Open playback and switch the video in the Viewer. if you have all the audio tracks in the Timeline you should hear all the tracks while you switch the video in the Viewer.

Craig’s right, unless you’re talking about the Send to Soundtrack Pro function? That sends the whole sound file. Only way around it is to export the audio portion of the clip and bring that into STP.

If you’re moving around fonts be careful about taking out the base set of fonts including Ariel.

Unless it’s been changed in this version, the Apple license agreement is that you only have the software installed on one machine at any one time.

Perhaps my understanding of English is different, but when someone says “the layer names do not come over into FCP” that means the layer names are not being imported in FCP. This completely not the behavior I’m seeing. When you open the PSD sequence that you’ve imported into FCP the layer names are indeed preserved. I think what you’re talking about something else, which may be what Chris is talking about, but not what he wrote.
