That did it! Looks like the step effector was the missing link.

    Thank you very much!

After further research, I answered my own question. In case anyone wants to know:

    from Maxon’s help:

“If you notice artefacts in the rendered image such as dark patches, gradually increase the values for Accuracy and Max Resolution. The artefacts should disappear once the values are sufficiently high.”

The maximum resolution in my global illumination settings was too low (in this case 300). So, by cranking it up to 1500, it made those blobs smaller, or a higher resolution.

    That last tip worked great!

I used an omni and turned on falloff at a small radius so it didn’t flood the scene with light.

    Thanks!

That was the ticket. The file supplied was 48.00 khz.

You just saved me a day of time!

    Thanks a million!

I have done exactly that. The only thing getting recorded is the point’s position. If I go back to a recorded frame and adjust the handles, they revert back to where they were before when I click out of it. Weird!

It all makes sense now. That’s going to help a lot down the line.

    Thanks again!

Now that I tinkered with it a little more, I’m wondering how you joined the two cylinders together before the nurbs operation. I tried cheating with a boole using the ‘create single object’ option, but that’s getting muddy results.

    Thanks!

Thanks so much! That helped a lot just to see and example.

I am trying to accomplish the same. I am able to make the shape wrap around the spline, I just can’t seem to duplicate the shapes along the spline via Cloner.

    My tree is as follows:

    Linear Cloner
    Cube Primative
    Spline Wrap
    Helix

I have a feeling I missed something simple!

    Thanks!

Thanks for your insight. I’ll give that a try!

    Thanks!
