Exactly what I hoped there was, just buried in a menu.

    Thank you! You Rock.

Thank you! I will give it a try. I’ve never hear of Unity, which is exactly why I posted the question. You rock!

    Thanks again for those steps.

I gave it a try and got to a point where I’m stumped. My model is the outer two ‘figure 8’ flaps of a baseball.

The resulting UV image winds up being a square-ish image, which I am guessing is normal. What I’m trying to get to is how the image would look on the two parts when flattened out.

    Thanks!

In making it look worse, I destaurated the footage and added noise while adding a slight blur to it. It still looks to good, though! Hilarious.

Any other things you may think of to make it look worse?

    Thanks!

To answer my own question, the stark black itself was the problem. I applied a gaussian blur of about 2px to the hi-res art in Photoshop and that made everything nice and smooth.

I’d still like some more control over the angle that the displacement makes, though. I experimented with stroking the logo in gray, but you can see the steps it makes. Oh well, more fidgeting to do…

I thought the source footage had just a stereo track. Now that I dig into it, I see the tracks are different. Oops.

Thinking that I had duplicate audio tracks, I deleted some under a few clips. Is there a way to restore the original audio tracks for those clips, or do I have to reinsert the clips?

    Thanks!

I did wind up keyframing the traffic. It wound up looking good in that some traffic was stopping as if at traffic lights, while the other direction moved, and vice versa.

That said, I think it would be cool if at the instance of a ‘collision’, the two cars would have some friction so that one object would kind of bump into the other and when one moved out of the way, the other could proceed.

    Thanks for the input!
