    Hi!

I have a scene animating city traffic. I am using MoGraph with a spline effector to move the vehicles down the streets. The problem comes with cross-traffic and the inevitable collisions that happen when the paths cross. I tried using MoGraph rigid body tags to try and repel the vehicles from each other, but that brings gravity into the scene, which I would like to avoid if possible since all of my movement is lateral.

    Any pointers much appreciated.

    Thanks!

I don’t see how you can avoid keyframing the spline effectors. Even if you could get collisions to work, you’d have cars colliding all over the place.

I did wind up keyframing the traffic. It wound up looking good in that some traffic was stopping as if at traffic lights, while the other direction moved, and vice versa.

That said, I think it would be cool if at the instance of a ‘collision’, the two cars would have some friction so that one object would kind of bump into the other and when one moved out of the way, the other could proceed.

    Thanks for the input!
