One thing that threw me when I first started exporting with Premiere was that I didn’t actually notice the scroll bar in the export window…
When you export, select Format:Quicktime. Don’t worry about the preset.
The go down to the video tab and select your desired codec. You’ll notice that the preset now says “Custom.” Then, use the scrollbar to the right of the video tab and you’ll get all the options you usually get with FCP. Because the settings are defaulted to whatever the preset was (which is not what you want), you need to manually change the framerate, frame size, etc etc etc. to get what you want.
I’m assuming you’re on a mac so a good export codec would be ProRes…
