    You didn’t say what operating system you’re using. If it’s Mac OS Lion, see this:
    “Adobe Premiere Pro, Nvidia CUDA drivers, and Mac OSX v10.7 (Lion)”

    I was having the same problem. make sure you install the video card drivers as well as the cuda drivers. i didnt install the cuda drivers and only got the option for software only.

    Hey Ed… It works, until I restart the computer and then I have to install the cuda drivers again. Lots of people have been having this problem… You ever run into it?

    Driver Version 256.02.25f01 6/24/11
    CUDA Version 4.0.21

    Just to chime in I’ve got cs5.5 and a quadro 4000 running snow leopard. I have hardware acceleration with no issues after reboot.
