    I think the original effect was created by a plugin called FX Factory which runs in After Effects.

    The hang up is with Apple. They only provide PC users the ability to playback/decode Prores. They do not have the ability to encode Prores on the PC. Apple doesnt provide them that functionality.

    Highlight the comp you want in PrP, depress Option then grab the comp while simultaneously Tabbing to Premiere Pro. Then drop the comp you dragged in on the Project window. A gymnastic drag and drop.

    In order to do any reliable color correction you really need to monitor the HD-SDI output on a professional external monitor. Using your computer screen will never allow you to see what the true nature of the color is. Any other way is just a crap shoot unfortunately.

    Jim for the moment I am also working in Adobe sequences, but hoping that external monitoring is resolved one way (third party) or the other (Adobe).

    This issues will eventually (some are already looking to Avid for alternatives) piss off some of the higher end users (facilities, boutiques) that Adobe doesnt want to lose.

    Adobe, I know your plate is very full, but this one could have tragic consequences on your new found popularity.

    On the “New Sequence” screen (File/New/Sequence), under “Available Presets” you will find what you are looking for.. At the very top of this list is the AJA folder. Inside are a variety of sequences presets that you can select from.Choose the one that matches your majority of source clips.

    Sorry Geert, FCP is a mere memory for me. Ive made the switch and am happy with the results. Im not familiar with IMX but Prores has been a thing of beauty both with FCP and now with PrP. I was concerned when issues like gamma changes plagued working with FCP and AE. But now that I dynamically link right out of PrP to AE, that issue is gone. Good luck with your resolving this situation to your satisfaction.
