How about drawing them from the top view in Illustrator, then import into 3D Invigorator and extrude for a true 3d object that can be rotated.

OK, I figured out how to do it with a simple expression linking the glints ,giving the subsequent glints a minor offset. Works for me.

Hi Scott:
I meant a master position control that would allow me to control Glint 1/2/3, all part of the same “node”. I know I can keyframe each of the glints and move them that way, but I just want to slide them all at once. The first setting control “Target” has a position control that does nothing apparent..
the “Glint” control only controls Glint 1…. Which control can move all 3 simultaneously?

You would buy the software, read the tutorials, generate an animation, export it as a movie, import the movie into AE. Viola!
