OK then. How the heck do I fix it in Premiere? I’ve got an hour and a half multicam program I need to edit. Don’t really want to be stopping every 10 seconds to re-sync in my monitor so I know when to switch cameras.

The problem isn’t outside Premiere, it’s inside Premiere! I just played the raw clip outside premiere with VLC with no issues

Mine is set to I-Frame only MPEG. I see several options available. I’m going to select “1280x720p 29.97 custom” which is how this is shot and i’ll see if there’s any difference

There’s an option to have the audio and video preview files go to a “custom” location. Maybe point them all to the same place? Maybe one machine is putting them in a different place than the others?
I’ve had awful problems losing renders on anything that has MB Looks applied or any dynamically linked AE file. I have to re-render them all the time

If i export it it looks fine. I’m not sure what codec I’m rendering in. Where would I check?

“Remove and reset the in/out-point by clicking either the { or } button twice. The audio should now reappear for all clips from the same source file.”

What is the { or } button supposed to do? I tried it on both the timeline and source clip and it did nothing. I can’t even find that it’s a shortcut for anything

Well I went thru the painstaking process of selecting each clip, right clicking and selecting “replace with clip from bin” after setting the in point on the source file.
But I will definitely try this if it happens again!

This has happened to me a couple times using the following workflow: Copy audio/video from a project. Close that project and open another project. Paste on timeline. It seems to work fine the first time, but when i close and re-open the audio is gone. The clip is there but red. when i right click on the clip and select “reveal in project” the clip is indeed there in a bin.
Which brings me to another subject…one of the things I miss the most about FCP is the ability to open multiple projects at once. I typically work on larger projects and copy/paste back and forth constantly. That would be a very welcome feature.

I’ve considered that but it’s such a royal pain in the arse! I have quite a few of them spanning over a large project.
