Thanks Mike. That should do the trick I reckon.

    Great forum as ever!

    Thanks George.

I’m able to resize now but only in one dimension.
i.e. I can alter the height but not the width (by hovering the pointer until a round black circle icon appears).

Should Lock Aspect be on or off?

Ah. Thanks George. This looks very promising (a new toy even!)

My next question is – how do I reduce the size of the
overlay image/video without having to keep adjusting the ratio
sliders in the menu at the side of the Track Motion menu?
(which seems fiddly and not sensitive enough)

    Thanks again.

To make it even easier, forget using Pan/Crop. Just add two keyframes in the text generated media and, using the Positioning tab, set the first keyframe with the text off the bottom of the screen and set the second keyframe with the text off the top of the screen. This method is much more flexible as well.[/quote]

    Thanks Edward and Clock,

Ive tried both methods and they work quite well (getting some unique
text pans diagonally across the screen, which I never would have
    thought of otherwise.

One problem. When I try and place the text either top or bottom, I’ll often get
a coloured arrow appearing pointing in the upward or downward direction, and when
this happens I cant ‘push’ the text any further up or down – to get it off screen as it were.

    Any clues?

    Ta,

    Tin

PS: Ive got the saved folder path problem sorted. Turns out I hadnt
ticked the ‘preference’ box saying ‘apply these settings to all
future projects” (or words to that effect)

    Peter,

Many thanks for the prompt response.
    I’ll try your suggestion now.

Oh. One other thing. I was thinking of buying
Auroa Sky (3d cloud/water generator), but noticed its
for Adobe After Effects only. Is there an equivalent
utility for Vegas does anyone know?

    Cheers

Thanks Ray. I’m looking at Womble’s MPEG Video Wizard now.

    >Try renaming the .vob to .mpeg. That should get you the video portion.< ----- Hi Gary, Thanks, but I tried that last night. Vegas5 froze when I attempted to put the VoB on the timeline. I might try again though, if there are no other suggestions out there. ?? Thanks Tin

Thanks. I’ll try that, plus Mike’s tip as well.

Once again, great forum. Much appreciated.

    Thanks Barend.

Quick question. When I import the file from PhotoShop to Vegas, will it appear
in the Cookie Cutter section ?
