    Hi Troyan –

I usually use the NTSC D1 Widescreen Sqare Pixel preset. It’s under the Film/Video section in the presets in the render settings Output tab. Should be 864 x 486.

Of course Adobe has decided that that aspect is now different. Something like 872 x 486.

In Cinema use the preset…it should make it big enough to look good, but small enough to be manageable.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi Benito –

    Your English is great…

When I set up a test like you mention, I get a similar thing. The accent for the O is being treated as a separate object. What is it that you are trying to do with the text on the spline?

The reason I ask is I’m wondering if the Spline Wrap would work, or are you trying to explode your text into pieces?

    Let me know.

    Thanks.

    Hey Mark –

That makes it much more clear. Thanks.

Hmmmm. Let me think about that one. I’m in lab with my students tonight, so I’ll have some time to play around…unless someone else out there has an immediate suggestion.

I’ll try to get back to you by tomorrow.

    Mark –

Can you repost the link using tinyurl or something? It got cut off and I can’t see the example from Dan’s site. That should give me a better idea of what it is you are trying to accomplish.

    Thanks.

    Hey Mark –

Do you have Mograph? Seems like using a random effector and/or the formula effector would be the way to go.

    Let me know.

August 21, 2009 at 9:57 pm in reply to: making clone objects as lights

    I just want to clarify…

You want these lights to glow or light up one at a time or one row at a time like a wave of lights lighting up?

    Is that correct?

Wow…if you get confirmation from them directly and you respond to this post and let us know for sure so it’s in the archive?

    Thanks!

Have you run the plug-in or module installation on every machine you want to use as a client? Doe your structure look like the one I previously posted?

    Hey Scott –

Just quickly looking at it, it seems like your bezier in those areas are doing a loop da loop…technical term. Might be causing some weirdness.

Try making sure the beziers don’t cross over each other. Again hard to tell from the image, but that’s what it looks like.

    Hope it helps.

August 2, 2009 at 9:09 pm in reply to: scaling a group?

    Hi and welcome.

I believe if you make all the objects editable(C key) you can group them into a null (select all the objects, right click and select GROUP about 2/3 down) you can then scale all the objects together in that group along any axis you want.

Let me know if that works for you.
