  • problem with spline eflector and text with accents

Posted by Benito Sanz on August 22, 2009 at 6:18 pm

    hi.

i have a problem. when i apply my text to a spline eflector the accents (i am spanish) go into the wrong position.

    any ideas??

this is what i do in case you didn´t undertand my english.

text imported from ilustrator, inside a extrude, extrude into fracture object and spline efflector applied to the fracture. my text is distribute along the spline( a circle in this case ). the accent goes in the middle of the second o. the word is conexión.

    thanks in advance.

    Hi Benito –

    Your English is great…

When I set up a test like you mention, I get a similar thing. The accent for the O is being treated as a separate object. What is it that you are trying to do with the text on the spline?

The reason I ask is I’m wondering if the Spline Wrap would work, or are you trying to explode your text into pieces?

    Let me know.

    Thanks.

    Hi Tim.

thank you very much for your reply.

the spline is in a sphere object ( around ) like the universal titles. and i want them to go around the spline letter by letter till the form the word.

    thank yo very much. again.

    Hi.

i did a workaroung and seems to work, but i would like know if it is posible to fix with mograph.

    the workaround.

duplicate the word and keep just the accent, jejejej, two days to think is that.

    thanks.

If so the spline wrap will work…I can explain it.

    Just let me know.
