Net Render and Plug-ins
Posted by Don Holland on August 1, 2009 at 3:26 pmWhere do you install the plug-ins for the net render clients? I have Net Render Client and Plug-ins folder all contained in a folder called maxon. When I go to the plugins menu in Net Render Client it says “empty”. I’m on a several Macs. 2 G5’s and a MacPro if that matters.
Thanks,

August 1, 2009 at 6:58 pmI haven’t done it with v11 but with 10.5 and 10 you run the Cinema 4d Setup on the machine with the client and JUST install the modules or plugins. It should put them in the correct location. You have to do it on each machine that you want to run a client.

August 1, 2009 at 7:31 pmHmmmm that’s weird. What version of C4D are you using? Are these the standard Things like Mograph and such, or third party plugins?

August 1, 2009 at 7:39 pmI just checked on some of my machines that just have the client installed. The directory structure should look like:
MAXON
NETrender
clientprefs
Exchange Plugins
library
manuals
modules
plugins
resource
results
scene
texall of my things like advanced render and Mograph are in the modules folder.

August 15, 2009 at 6:01 pmHave you run the plug-in or module installation on every machine you want to use as a client? Doe your structure look like the one I previously posted?

August 16, 2009 at 3:48 pmI have all the Plug-ins installed correctly on all machines. It looks like its the fault of one spcific plug-in. PoserFusion for Cinema 4D does not work with Net Render. I haven’t received official confirmation from Poser (I’ve left several emails), but when I make a file without using the PoserFusion plug-in. It works.

Did you get an answer? Because I have the same problem. It renders on the Server Client. But on the client of the outside computer the PowerFusion Object is not render, but the Native C4D objects are. I’m on C4D R11.5. Team Render doesn’t seem to work either with PowerFusion Objects on R15. It crashes the C4D on the external computer with a Crash logMac Mini, OSX 10.9.1, Vue 8 xStream, modo 401, C4D 15

March 9, 2014 at 1:34 pmAfter a few exchanges with Smith Micro, I had it worked. The main problem is where you put your files. If you use InterPoser Pro it’s a lot easier,

It should be the same with Net Render and Team Render.
