Deformers work differently than NURBS. The deformer must be a child of the object or in a null, a sibling TO the object you wish to deform. You also need to make sure the primitive you are using has enough geometry to be deformed properly.

If you are referring to C4D, in render settings you select to output to QT, click on options and select H.264 rather than animation codec.

You should receive an email letting you know encoding has finished. It will give you a link to the page the video is on. On that page, on the right side, there are two boxes. One says “embed” and the other “link”. You can use the “embed” code to include a video in your post, the other is just a link to the page where the video resides.

Is this what you are trying to accomplish?
I used an arc in a lathe nurb, put the lathe nurb in a symmetry object and animated the angle of the lathe nurb.
