OK so the slot is capable of two channels, losing the camera mike and applying a y cord gets me two more – but its an ugly fit out.

Hello all,
So I got this link https://www.sony.ca/promedia/drivers.htm
And all was well using the finder to drag and drop.
I’ve got copies on my MBP and the firewire for safety.
Also browsed using xdcam transfer.
Cheers

Thanks Grinner,
I know nothing about this process.
Our camera is one of seven in the Audition phase of Australian Idol.
Is this something that can be applied in the online:
1/ Simply. IE set up once then drag and dropped to all the clips from our camera in the sequence?
2/ Isolated to our camera.
3/ With ??? extra render time? Can you explain virtually telling us the keystrokes and process??

Thanks Guys,
I’m off to talk to Wes.
I seem to remember asking for an old fashioned submaster of this show ie natural sound no graphics etc – but I didnt get it way back then.
That would have done fine.
Its something we do all the time now!!

Hello,
FYI we think we have reached a point where we hoped to be when we purchased our Varicam
With FCS2 FCP6 handles 72060P material and P2 based 72050P material on a 72060 25fps sequence SEAMLESSLY!!!
This now means the HVX202 is truly the junior partner for Varicam.
Now we can also record out to the 1400 in 72060P 25fps we have a closed loop for projects to mastering stage.
VERY HAPPY

Thanks Mike,
Understand Pro Res422 supported in FCS2 but not hardware accelerated on the K3 like on the IOHD.
Any inkling that Kona 3 will play out its model life unchanged or could anyone see a tweak to allow the card to process the ProRes422 prior to Kona 4?
It will be interesting to see side by side comparos when all the hardware and software drops onto the market.

Thanks Walter,
I have no doubts about the deck and your experience in 59.94 based recordings from Varicam on Kona 3. The growth of your facility since I began following the cinewave forum years ago is outstanding.
I am looking for 25P 72060P 60HZ based experiences of these two devices. ( Kona 3/1400 VTR )
Like the table top work for your good eats animations BTW

Hi Steve,
Will the next one be tape based?
More thinking about the life of a 1400 deck I am considering to replace my 1200.
