    Hi Jeff,

The MC in the timeline: I can move the cursor around above the angle viewer but can’t select anything. The cursor doesnt change to a hand and the numerals 1 and 2 on the keyboard have no effect….

    Thanks for those notes.

All seems quite reasonable to me

When I first tooled up with FCP/Cinewave the whole suite was 60 odd K.

And that investment came after I nearly sprang for an Avid Symphony at 200K plus!!!

I’ll seriously look at the new Mac Pro – after its done the rounds on Creative Cow!!

    Cheers

November 26, 2010 at 9:25 pm in reply to: KiPro or Ki Pro Mini with Varicam VFR

    Chris,

All is not lost it supports the major frame rates now.

The full suite of VFR- not yet.

From a thread over at DVUSER

“Ki Pro Mini will support what the current Ki Pro does upon release:
    525i 29.97
    625i 25
    720p 23.98/59.94
    720p 25/50
    720p 29.97/59.94
    720p 50
    720p 59.94
    1080PsF 23.98
    1080PsF 24
    1080p 23.98
    1080p 24
    1080p 25
    1080i 25
    1080i 29.97

No slow motion capability is provided at this time, but the product does support 720p 59.94 fps”

Thats a quote from John Thorn at AJA. Note the “at this time”….

    Hopefully soon.

November 26, 2010 at 6:09 pm in reply to: KiPro or Ki Pro Mini with Varicam VFR

    Hi Chris,

I would like to have that functionality as well.

I would pay over the RRP to support full Varicam functionality, I know the camera has some unusual characteristics in the Post Path but its supported on the Kona three so why not port that functionality over to the Ki Pro Mini?

There would be thousands of Varicams around the world given a second life not to mention many sales of Ki Pro Mini to those Varicam owners…

I just sold my ingest 1200VTR for the Varicam to free up cash for a Ki Pro Mini.

Here’s hoping, AJA is famous for listening to their customers.

    Thanks Shane and Bob,

Can you please fill in the workflow, Do I need to buy any thing other than the screen??
