  • NLE support for 720/50p?

I spoke to a panasonic rep today – he said to be careful about using the 720 / 50 p mode because many NLEs aren’t supporting this yet? With the exception of Canopus? Any one got more news on this – though i assume most people here are working on NTSC…FCP or Avid users out there?

FCP and Avid both support 720p50, but in differing ways,

the rule of thumb should be ” use only the most current version of the software” for your NLE.

    Hello,

FYI we think we have reached a point where we hoped to be when we purchased our Varicam

    With FCS2 FCP6 handles 72060P material and P2 based 72050P material on a 72060 25fps sequence SEAMLESSLY!!!

This now means the HVX202 is truly the junior partner for Varicam.

Now we can also record out to the 1400 in 72060P 25fps we have a closed loop for projects to mastering stage.

    VERY HAPPY
