Boris has admitted there’s a problem, should have been fixed with the .02 update but wasn’t. I was told of the work-around but can’t find the email. Sorry, I know this isn’t much help. Maybe someone from Boris will chime in.

Thanks for the info, I to am a CineWaver, most of my projects have both Beta SP and DV footage in them, this is very comforting news.

The Tascam DM24 digital mixer, now that’s a nice board!
OK, since I’m in the same audio boat, needing to do the A to D conversion, and not liking my Mackie board that I have now, is there another board like the Tascam DM24 but maybe doesn’t have all the Gingerbread on it?
Thanks,
Tim

So what your saying is, use the IO as the A to D converter, edit using the Kona 2 then output back thru the IO? For Analog that is.

I remember doing dirty edits on a two inch….had to wait 14 seconds before coming up from black. What a joy it was.

Compressed and uncompressed on the same timeline, it’s beautiful. I have Tiger sitting right here waiting, that will kill my Cinewave and mixed formats. Shed a tear for me.

Ron, looks like you and I are in the same boat…looking for a replacement for the Cinewave card. Have you narrowed it down, or has there been too much info to sort thru?
I’m waiting to hear if Decklink and there mixed media means compressed and uncompressed on the same timeline or not. I’ve heard you can use both 8 and 10 bit on the timeline.
