How do you slow the framerate and yet, shorten the video?

Most of these issues arise from forces outside of Adobe.

Many FCP Log and Capture rewraps are unique to FCP and Apple has kept them proprietary.

QuickTime is required per Adobe…it’s in the system requirements. Any QT codec is accessible that Apple doesn’t control as proprietary (such as FCP rewraps of XDcam and DVCProHD files and the ability to write ProRes on any machine that doesn’t have FCP or Motion installed).

  • I didn’t render a lot of RED out of PPro 5.5… If REDCINEX crashes as well as Premiere Pro, I’d first try to determine if the issue is with the RED files.

If you had auto-save running, you should have a folder of saved projects…most likely next to the original project in the original directory.

It looks like the lighting effect to me.

If you pull it off, does the problem go away?

Are these clips all the same format?

Is the metadata traveling with the media?

March 25, 2014 at 7:28 pm in reply to: Spooky Slow Export Time in PP – Any Thoughts???

Your situation is pretty complicated and vague to really troubleshoot unless you can identify the specific codecs on the timeline you’re trying to export.

Your CUDA card will only have a significant effect on a GPU-assisted effect, not on decode or encode.

I would say if your CPU cores look under utilized, that your system is waiting for data…is the drive all this is on full? Is it a small, external drive?

I’ve used McAfee for years…since CS4…no issues that I ever detected on about 5-6 systems since then.

…is this a dynamic linked comp, or a rendered clip?
