Anti Virus Software and Premiere Pro CC
Hello All,
I’m about to install 4 new Premiere Pro CC suites in my building. I work for a major corporation that dictates internet security policy company wide. Therefore my work stations are MANDATED to have anti-virus software installed. I don’t have a choice on this. I just contacted support and didn’t get a very definitive answer but my big question is has anyone had to do this? Do you have anti-virus software running on your workstations with Premiere Pro CC? Have you experienced any issues with Premiere and the anti-virus software? We typically use MacAfee. Is there any software that is perhaps LESS disruptive?

Hi Nate,
The free Microsoft Security Essentials seems to be as light/transparent as it gets, been using it for years on multiple machines. For edit system and kids and office, has offered great protection without seeming to hurt performance one bit.

I’ve used McAfee for years…since CS4…no issues that I ever detected on about 5-6 systems since then.
