I have short .r3d red epic recorded videos, I tried rendering with RGB Curves/Magic Bullets Denoioser applied, it kept crashing or said “error compiling movie” with no other information or it would simply stop rendering with no error. I’ve tried rendering as .jpeg animation, a .mov, h.264, mpeg4 and jpeg sequences, all separate occasions after restarts, cleaning media, using an external HDD and then even tried rendering to my c:\ all of which have more than enough space AND speed to contain these files.

I have a NVIDIA GT 630 2 GB DDR3 video card as my ATI 4850 512 MB wasn’t cutting it and this NVIDIA appears to have latest drivers and everything, but I’m still getting endless problems trying to render R3d files.

I don’t know what to change, it’s 29.97 fps recorded, I play in 29.97 drop frame and tried 29.97 non drop frame. I’ve also tried 30 fps drop frame.

I cannot figure out why Premiere Pro 5.5 won’t render without tons of errors, I tried Exporting then I tried Adobe Media Encoder which will just hang at the last few minutes of each clip I need to render and stop rendering entirely.

I’ve tried with caps on and caps off (After FX render technique was hoping Premiere would be affected, but it isn’t)

RedcineX errors are worse, the program completely stops no warnings whatsoever, just crashes after about 10 minutes of render time, with no fx applied within, all default settings. .mov render…

    16 GB DDR3 RAM
    intel core i7 920 2.7GHz
NVIDIA GT 630 2 GB DDR3 GFX Card
Several 2-3 TB External HDD’s internal 500 GB HDD.
    (Seagate and Western Digital HDD’s)
    64 bit Vista
    Adobe Premiere Pro 5.5
    RedCineX latest version.
    No red rocket.

    Why won’t premiere pro export?
Why does RedcineX crash with zero warning?

I tried Premiere 5.5 and then RedCineX and nothing seems to be able to export properly.

I even tried NeumannFilms 1080p Proxy in premiere pro and it still lags beyond belief then crashes.

How come I can’t render my Red footage?!

I didn’t render a lot of RED out of PPro 5.5… If REDCINEX crashes as well as Premiere Pro, I’d first try to determine if the issue is with the RED files.

I agree with Tim, if your apps are consistently getting stuck in the same portion of render or on export of the same file, I would try playing the file in Redcine. If Redcine crashes then the file is bad, if it plays but crashes during render, render it out to a still sequence and then note the frame it crashes on, and in Redcine mark the in point on the frame after that.

Playback is fine and renders fine within the comp, just exporting has the issue. I filmed a music video and though it was slow it rendered no real issues, just took a long time.
