  • Joe,
Have you tried borrowing a friends camera that is not a JVC (say a Sony oe Canon) and see if you have the same problem. Just curious if this is really limited to JVC or even your JVC model? Should just be able to hook them up to yoour discovered(?) firewire port.

Go to File drop down menu and click Save As. In that box will be a ‘tic’ box to “copy and trim media with the save”. This will do what you are asking

  • I believe you need to Select All and Group first.

Are you sure it is an INPUT? S-video is analog.

Yeah, you got to lead those ducks :>).

I assume the cross hair is on a track above your flying object and is keyed over it. Obviously when you watch it in the preview window (what setting is your preview window?) it looks like the cross hair is right on, right? If you do a ram render of different sections of the scene is the cross hair still right on. How many key frames doe you have for the scene? I suspect you may have one at the beginning and one at the end. If the flying object proceeds at linear )constant) speed across the screen, that would work as long as your keyframe is set at linear and not smooth or one of the other settings.

What camera and whatformat is the footage. Are you just trying to capture the footage (Vegas capture utility?) or are you trying to put it on a time line?

  • Once you have your audio and video synched go to Tools-Render to new track. Make sure that anything you don’t want rendered in this file is muted and when you render it Vegas will place it video and audio on two tracks above your project, add the new file to the preject media and place it on your hard drive. The A & V will be grouped – unless you subsequently ungroup them.
