    Hi,
I have been using Edius Pro to do most of my editing tasks but its color correction and audio capabilities are less than ideal so I decided to give Vegas 9 a try. My biggest problem so far is that I can´t find a way to trim a clip as fast as I can do it in Edius. With Edius I can trim an event “in” or “out” point by hitting the “n” or “m” key respectively (on the timeline). To trim a clip in Vegas I know of 3 methods but they’re, IMHO, all slower in comparison to edius.
    1. Using the Trimmer and the “a” key to add the desired portion to the timeline.
    2. Drag the event in or out point using the mouse.
    3. Using the numeric pad keys to trim the edges of the event.
Is there any other method that I can use to be able to trim events faster in Vegas? Thank you.

    Best Regards,
    Marco

    Hi,
Thank you for your answer but that is not exactly what I was looking for because that is just splitting/cutting an event. What I really want to know is if there is a way to trim an event IN or OUT point on the timeline with just one keystroke (after placing the cursor on the desired spot of course)? Maybe it can be done through scripting? Thanks.
    Best regards,
    Marco
