    Greetings all,
I’m a relative newbie to Vegas Movie Studio 9 and I’m trying to figure out the best way to insert something in the middle of a project. My project has video, stills, voice over and music background and I have lots of transitions timed just the way I want them and voiceover & transitions to the clips.

Is there a (relatively) easy way to move everything (except the background music) TOGETHER to allow for something I forgot to get inserted?

Thanks in advance for any tips or pointers.

Turn on Ripple Edit (Ctrl+L) with the option All Tracks, Markers, and Regions. Place your timeline cursor where you want to insert time and press the S key to split all tracks. Then just drag any event to the right and all will follow. Finally turn off Ripple Edit.

I believe you need to Select All and Group first.

I believe you need to Select All and Group first.

Actually not so. All you have to do is turn ripple on. You only have to split if you need to cut a clip. Otherwise grab ANY EVENT (mouse drag) with ripple turned on and every event equal to or behind that event will move down the timeline. Very easy and I use it all the time.
