Keyframed Render?
Posted by Robert Lea-smith on June 17, 2009 at 9:57 pmI’m having some troubles with rendered footage in Sony Vegas Pro 8. I have some video that I have keyframed an image’s position over and whenever I render it out the event is out of sync.
Any help is very welcome.

June 17, 2009 at 10:06 pmSure, to outline the exact problem, I have a video with something flying across the screen. So I created a crosshair in Photoshop and use the keyframing feature in Pan/Crop to have this crosshair follow the thing across the screen. When I was all done with it I rendered it out to see how it looked and instead of the crosshair being right on the object, it is in always to the left of it instead.

I assume the cross hair is on a track above your flying object and is keyed over it. Obviously when you watch it in the preview window (what setting is your preview window?) it looks like the cross hair is right on, right? If you do a ram render of different sections of the scene is the cross hair still right on. How many key frames doe you have for the scene? I suspect you may have one at the beginning and one at the end. If the flying object proceeds at linear )constant) speed across the screen, that would work as long as your keyframe is set at linear and not smooth or one of the other settings.
